Jerry Petzoldt Co-Founder, LifeStyle Developers LLC
Jerry Petzoldt has been a veteran real estate executive for over 27 years with vast experience in real estate operation, development, marketing and finance. As a co-founder of Lifestyle Developers LLC., Jerry focuses on the creation of master planned residential communities throughout Northeast Tennessee.
Jerry began his career as a real estate appraiser in commercial and investment property in Clearwater, Florida. He has an associate degree in architecture and a brokers license in Tennessee, Virginia, and Florida. He is a certified residential appraiser in Tennessee and was awarded the SRA designation in 1976 from the Appraisal Institute in Chicago.
In 1996 Jerry founded TCI Group which is now regionally recognized as one of the area's largest commercial real estate companies. It was during this time period that Jerry seized the opportunity to create something new, and Old Island Lifestyle Community was founded.
Jerry has a keen interest in the economic development of the region and holds membership on several progressive committees. In November 2008, Jerry was again named among the top 101 most influential people in the state's commercial real estate industry by Business Tennessee magazine for the fourth year including the magazine's inaugural 2005 list. In October 2007, Jerry was named the 2007 TechStar Champion by the Northeast Tennessee Technology Council (NE/TTC) for his contribution to regional development and service to the technological community.
Mike Hartgrove Co-Founder, LifeStyle Developers LLC
Mike Hartgrove, a successful builder and developer in Kingsport, is a native of Sullivan County with more than 25 years experience in the construction business. In 1996, Mike developed his first residential project, Cobblestone Place, designed for seniors. Cobblestone Place became a highly successful project which led Mike to begin construction on a second senior development, PineBrook Place, again a big success.
Mike is also heavily involved in missionary work with 3 years in Nicaragua where he constructed and completed $4 million worth of construction – 13 churches and a 13,000 square foot school.
Mike co-founded LifeStyle Developers, LLC along with Jerry Petzoldt to serve the growing need for upscale residential developments resulting in the development of Old Island.
Mike has been honored by being named Builder of the Year for 2003, 2004 and 2005 for Sullivan County by the Home Builders’ Association of Greater Kingsport. PineBrook Place was also named the Number One Development in Sullivan County in 2004 and 2005.

Connie has been a full time real estate professional since 1989. Licensed in both Tennessee and Virginia, she is very proud to have served many local families and have become very experienced in helping in the relocation of transferees and newcomers. She diligently pursued her education to equip her to work with both buyers and sellers. In doing so she has received the designations of Certified Residential Special (CRS), the Graduate of the Real Estate Institute (GRI), and is certified in Commercial Real Estate. A member of the Northeast Tennessee Board of Realtors, The Tennessee Association of Realtors, The National Association of Realtors, a member of Sunrise Rotary Club and Kingsport Home Builders Association. Having raised three children in Kingsport, she's very involved in the community. Connie has consistently achieved the Million Dollar and Multi-Million Dollar Producer Award throughout her career.
Cassie Petzoldt Vice President
Cassie Petzoldt joined the Old Island team in 2008 as the Marketing Director and Customer Relations Manager. Cassie has over 15 years of experience in project management and customer relations. You can find her daily at the Discovery Center located on site at Old Island. She is there to greet you with a smile and professionally assist you in anyway possible in regards to making Old Island your home!
